Humility

There comes a point when all is completely lost
Vanished into yesterdays pride
Gone, perhaps forever, in the blink of undisputable truth
Age, paving the way for reluctance and then destiny
Humility, disappearing at the rate of depression

Sitting upright, uncomfortable, and completely trapped
Memories of better days, a catalyst for tears
Praying, perhaps insincerely, for an end, a finality
Caught between a will and a wish
Devastated, permanently scarred and lonely
